this is what it looks like by the way
I believe that black has Qb6 in this part of the line but im not sure because i never play this
I just don’t trust people not to go b6? and get hit with Bb4+
Also this from Coach Dane https://www.chess.com/analysis/game/pgn/4Jo5R6E614?move=10&classification=
No
I prefer the advance
We will eventually poll this. Why do you prefer the advance?
Yeah we should have a good response for Qb6
Per Master’s database, he’s more likely to play 4.. Bf5 (12 games) compared to 4.. Nf6 (2 games)
I don't understand Be3, i think is better something like Nf3 or Bc4 maybe, but i don't know the line, for the rest i think is ok
He did explain the plan, did you read that? The diagram above shows the plan as well.
Related: Poll is up for "Straw poll: What do you prefer to play on move 3 if 1 e4 c6 2 d4 d5 is played?"
What about 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 dxe4 4.Nxe4 Nf6 5.Ng5!? h6 6.Nxf7!?
Actually
if Qb3 we can set up a trap with Qe2
though i dont think gotham would fall into it it is worth noting
I would like Nd2 to free up to c pawn if needed by the way
Unsound sacrifice.
i like the idea of playing the tarrasch a lot
In the QGD?
i meant in french
