A dubious opening to get him out of prep on move 1. There's not an official refutation for it either.

I actually wanted to suggest that. Because many people will use engine, this is a good response to get him out of prep and he would blunder quite a bit.

I guess you will need to find other ways to get that. The Master Games database considers 1 .. e5 (52%), d5 (18%), Nf6, c6, e6, a5 at over 1% of the master games played.
