The “Trust System” we use in regards to roles and permissions in the server has three phases: Just Joined, Connected and Trusted. As you integrate your account and participate in the server, more perks and features will open up for you here on Discord! Here is some info about each role/phase:
Welcome! You’ve just joined our server and automatically got the Just Joined role as well as our announcement roles (check </announcements:1023364179119329342> in the #👾〡bot-guide for more info on those). If you’ve joined our server a long time ago but still have Just Joined as a role, it means you haven’t connected your Chess.com account yet.
With this role you can:
To get this role, you must have connected your Chess.com account to your Discord account. This should be done on pc/laptop, not mobile.
Connecting your Discord and Chess.com accounts together is highly recommended! These simple steps will immediately unlock many perks, bot features and permissions that greatly enhance the way you experience this server:
1. Log into Chess.com
2. Go to the Connected Accounts page
3. Click on the "Connect to Discord" button
4. If prompted, log into your Discord account
5. Allow the Chess.com Account Linking application to access your account
6. Done!
If you can’t find the “Connected Accounts” page, use the command </connect:1023636298738700310> and get a direct link. Check out the “/connect” and “/disconnect” items in #👾〡bot-guide for more detailed information on the process.

The trusted role gives you access to all remaining perms given to our Community members in this Server. To get Trusted, however, you need to complete all four requirements:

A: You need the trusted role for that. Use the command </trust:1023364178980900865> to see your progress on getting all the role requirements!
A: You need the Connected role for that. To connect your Chess.com and your Discord accounts, go to the Connected Accounts page on Chess.com (on pc/laptop, not mobile).
A: Report them to Fair Play at the website. We know how frustrating it is to lose to someone you think is cheating. Believe us, we also want them out of the website, however, we can’t allow public accusations to happen on the Server. These discussions tend to become heated, stray away from the facts and often start witch-hunts that do more harm than good.
A: We might even agree with you, but the point stands. There is a whole Fair Play investigation to be done before a user can be labeled as a cheater. If it were you being accused: wouldn’t you want Fair Play to at least look at your account before you were labeled as a cheater?
Please just report the player and if you really want to discuss it further, do it here: Cheating Forum! We don’t want to silence this discussion, we just want to be sure everyone sticks to facts and no one gets unjustly accused, so we’ve made that forum to be an appropriate place for you guys to be able to talk about Fair Play!
A: You need to connect your chess.com account to your Discord account for that! Check out the </connect:1023636298738700310> item in our #👾〡bot-guide!
A: For now, we can only fetch your Blitz rating, and that’s the rating shown on the role. If your blitz rating is wrong, make sure you connected the right account.
If it’s still incorrect, try updating your profile by disconnecting it and connecting it again (check out the </disconnect:1035887377043947533> item in our #👾〡bot-guide to know how!). If nothing works, open a forum post on #1039943660839641139 and a mod, admin or the server manager will help you out.
A: Unfortunately, we can’t let you advertise content outside of our platforms/control. We know a lot of you have some cool stuff to show, but for moderation and safety purposes (reminder, this server has people as young as 13) we really can’t let it happen.
A: We’re still working on creating more flairs to give out to the community, as well as Server events that will give everyone the opportunity to earn a limited-time offer flair! ;) Stay tuned!
A: If the issue is happening in the Discord Server: Ping the <@&745328830649991179> role (if possible, reply to the message you’re reporting to help us find it). If you’re not comfortable with doing it in the general channels, DM one of our mods/admins describing the issue.
If it’s happening in the Chess.com website: Report the user and the website staff will take action on it. This link also contains an “urgent report” form!
A: We have suspended the giving out of language roles as we evaluate the best course of action for catering to more languages and integrating those roles into the Server’s structure.
A: Disconnect your Discord under Connected Accounts, then use </disconnect:1035887377043947533> here on the server to confirm your choice.
A: Contact support@chess.com] via e-mail. You shouldn’t ping Server Mods or Staff about such subjects on Discord. The Server Mod pings should be about server issues, not Chess.com website problems. You have to contact that email about your account closure, say everything you want to say (here’s a tip: be honest) and wait. It might take a while, as we’re dealing with a huge influx of those these days, but Support will get back to you.
Discord moderators and staff are not part of the Fair Play team and will never be able to help you here.
