We want to put a door as a close to the edge of a wall as possible. Assuming I have a 2 stud corner I am trying to understand if:
A: Corner stud, cornerstud, king stud, jack stud

or
B: cornerstud, cornerstud, jack stud is okay?

As far as I can tell for a 4x8 shed option B should be fine but wanted to double check

You’ll want meat to tie the corners together and clearance for the door to open freely

So absolute minimum 3.5 inch away from outside corner of framing to the start of your rough opening.

IMO door centred on 8’ wall enables you to have storage on all walls and forces you to keep center decluttered. Door on the corner you lose the width of the door twice. Just something to think about 🙂

mm that makes sense, I didn't want to do double doors and the plans I had used the siding cut out for the doors which doesn't work so hot centering one door with the panel seems in the middle of it

but I guess I could just buy more material for the door

Material layout does play a factor. I mean by all means put it in the corner!

This is how I would layout studs
