i ran a cnc for 2 years and lived in the shop, lots of projects took >12 hours to cut. I wished for better soundproofing but at the same time it was useful to be able to hear the more subtle problems that would need a bit change or change in feeds and speeds. I don't really understand your question but do have this advice: soundproofing is all about putting mass between you and the sound. those acoustic panels you see people putting up for podcasting with foam pyramids are only for reducing reverb, they reduce sound transmission through the wall very little. for walls you really want this stuff:
