I built a chicken coop a few months ago. The bottom of the wall is a pressure treated 4x4 resting on cinder blocks spaced every 3 feet

This seems more DIY/Carpentry than Woodworking. You might get a better response on a server focused on those things.

For some response - to answer I think it would be important to know the rest of the structure and where you are. If you are building something super big/beefy and have winter frost to contend with, that will need different foundation than someone in a warm place that has four 2x4s holding up a tin roof.
