Can't seem to find a simple drill bit organizer, thinking about making my own. When I make the holes for the bits to go into, would I be making the hole big enough for the tip/top portion or thr base to fit into?

Either way. I have brad point bits pointing down so I don’t get stabbed, and forstners pointing up because I’m inconsistent

How far down should I go? It seems like a simple project of drill hole with the bit then thats it and im trying to not overcomplicate it
