Hi, I was directed to come here to ask for some help with ME3Tweaks seemingly not being successful for me when it tries to run different merge functions. I was talking with a mod author and she believed that my trouble is with ME3Tweaks. Here is my log. https://me3tweaks.com/modmanager/logservice/logviewer?logid=738f1c10bfb8638d5490d6581c25ceca
This is my first time really messing with Mass Effect modding so I apologize in advance if I didn't give the right information.

Judging from the error it's jumping to it has trouble accessing the path consistently.
Is H: an external hard drive?

celest iron
#

No its my HDD that stores the games and mods

#

ME3Tweaks in also installed on that drive if that helps

tacit locust
#

Hm. Well, still, it has trouble. My instinct would be to run chkdsk h: in a command line terminal just to see if any errors come up for that drive first.

Okay I'll run it

#

Its saying that it found no problems and no further action is required.

tacit locust
#

well, that's good, but I'm also effectively out of ideas, lol. Someone else might have more ideas, tho'.

celest iron

All right, thanks for trying. I also have no ideas why its not working.

for whatever it is worth, any System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException kind of error would almost assuredly not be on the program side of things.

celest iron
#

ah okay. I wonder if a fresh install would help or if its just a problem hiding in my PC somewhere

tacit locust
#

Could just try the reinstall first

Looking closer at the file paths I dont know why it is searching "H:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Mass Effect ...." when steam library is at "H:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps ..." is there a way to change where its looking at?

Can you screenshoot the "Targets" drop-down in the manager?

celest iron
#

Is that the one you wanted?

tacit locust
#

Yeah

#

… weird. Hm. Might actually need to ping the head honcho for this, this seems bizarre.
@thick summit sorry in advance; tldr, M3 is targeting a folder for Squadmate merge on LE2 that is not in existence and does not, in fact, match the actual target folder in the settings

I would make sure that old directory path is fully gone

#

If there are remnants it may still be detecting it as a game path.

#

Make sure to nuke the entire old folder. It looks like it was moved

celest iron
#

I can not find the old directory path. As far as I can tell its gone. Do you mean the old folder that M3 was installed in?

tacit locust
#

The one it's trying to install to falsely

celest iron
#

All right. I have deleted any files I could find that seemed like they could be related to it but it still has the same result. Is there a way to uninstall M3 so that it would act like a fresh first time install and I can point it on where to go?

C:\ProgramData\ME3TweaksModManager

If there's two installations of the game from Steam, that means, at some point, the game was moved. I don't believe Steam adds locations outside of Program Files automatically (at least it hasn't happened to be yet).

The Mod Manager usually auto-detects installations so, if it still shows both paths then you didn't remove the extra game entirely.
