I am pretty new to modding and I am pretty sure I messed up my mods not being 100% sure of what I am doing. Had all my mods working, then tired to update a few, and add a new one. Once I did that they all quite working. What I am wondering since I think I messed up more by uninstalling the game, and reinstalling it. Now my ME3 backups aren’t working. How to I uninstall ME3 from my computer and start of from scratch? Basically I want to start over, reinstall my mods on my desktop, and then copy the game folder over to my steam deck so I can have my mods there as well. Love to eventually get a ME3Tweaks for Linux but for now I just need to figure out how to start over with a fresh install, so I can get my back ups working and hopefully get my mods reinstalled on my desktop 1st.

Delete the game directory, then r-download from whichever platform you got it from.

How do I delete a game directory? Did it not do that when I uninstalled the game from Steam in the first place? Like I said I’m very new to modding games so I apologize in advance for any silly questions.

You go to the folder in the file explorer and… delete it, via one of the available context-options, i.e. the right-click menu, the Windows Explorer window, the "delete" key on your keyboard… Basic computer operation.

Uninstall may leave leftovers, especially in a modded game.

Ok I will try that when I get home this afternoon and reach back out if I have any questions or if that didn’t work.

Also I am assuming that this is the folder marked Game?I usually bring up the file explorer through steam - manage- browse local files.

I'd take the folder one level up to make absolutely sure

Ok so clear the entire folder that the game folder is in. Should I uninstall the game 1st then delete the folder?

I will have to wait till I get home this afternoon to do it, but I just wanna make sure I fully understand before I start messing with stuff. Thank you again for your help and patience.

Doesn't really matter. You can just delete fully, then let Steam repair.
