yes, there's an issue with the version of mod manager you are using - it is a release candidate that was briefly available but has some issues applying merge mods which can cause crashes.

you will then need to revert your game to vanilla (you can use a backup made by mod manager or you can delete/fully uninstall then redownload, but you can't repair.

then reapply your mods using this version of mod manager.

^had the same issue and this solved it for me yesterday am now on Mars^ fingers crossed it works for you too
