During the disturbances in Alkmaar after AZ's European match against Legia Warsaw, AZ's security coordinator was assaulted, several sources report to NOS.
Two footballers from the Polish team were detained. According to various reports, they are Josué Pesqueira and Radovan Pankov.
Although the police would not confirm that these Legia players have been detained, a spokesperson does say that they are a 28-year-old man from Serbia and a 33-year-old man from Portugal. This matches the personal details of Pankov and Josué.
Further, the police only confirmed that someone was assaulted last night and taken to hospital.
The arrested suspects have been in custody since last night. The rest of Legia's squad has since flown back home.
