That would basically mandate the need to know how the game's code works and also improved coding/programming techniques. Which is TBH fairly close to asking for a unicorn.
I'd say if anything, a better processor would likely make more of a difference (and is far more realistic to achieve), and that's assuming your savegame doesn't have a bunch of stuff lying around. Keeping the world and your digsites well organized is recommended, as is a fresh save if you're playing the Volcalidus DLC (as the game has to store the data from both).

But the DLC is a second independent save file so it doesnt matter how messy the base game save if for that DLC save

they are 2 separate save files. the mainland and dlc
But why then was it recommended to start a fresh save if starting the DLC?
that I know there is no reason to do it, since you can always just use the boat to get back
