It would be great to have a tool like a helmet or magnifying glass that would show the level and tier of the block you're looking at, instead of having to count it down with blocks every time.

If you have HML installed, hitting F6 brings up a menu
(that contains a debug log, as well as what mods are loaded),
in which you can see your caracter's world position.
You could use that to determine what "level" you're on.
