Do your Daily Tasks. You’ll need to do at least one every single day but once you have a Streak going, your Gold multiplier will increase and you’ll earn even more from the dailies.
Do treasure maps ASAP. You get a new map every 5 levels which can be picked up at your camp lockbox or post office.
Don’t neglect ability cards. I can dm you a list and the process to level them up so I don’t have a massive wall of text clogging this room up.
Oh and try to do all the Online story missions, it’s a good chunk of currency and XP.

The horse is okay. Horses in RDO don’t matter a whole lot. Or rather, their stats don’t. Speed and Acceleration are extremely minuscule in differences even when comparing the slowest to the fastest horse. Stamina eventually becomes entirely ignorable. And health is kinda the only stat that matters- but not really. If someone wants to kill your horse they’re going to kill your horse.
As for the weapons, they’re all unlocked relatively early anyway and aren’t all that expensive.
-You get a Pump Action Shotgun (very good, very accurate)
-Volcanic Pistol (okay, slow firing hand cannon)
-Varmint Rifle (essential for hunting small animals like rabbits)

Heartlands isn’t bad. It has the single best delivery route in the game, and another that pretty much guarantees damaged bottles. It’s a bit of a gamble (of course there are other routes than just these two).

- (cont.) the best delivery route being the delivery point is the Emerald Ranch Fence, and the bad one being the Van Horn Docks. The Fence takes like a minute to get to, and the Docks in Van Horn damage your bottles even though you must cross onto them.

Rockstar says the game is out of beta but of course there are PLENTY of issues still ranging from crashing to your issue. I recommend Black Bone Forest or the plains that are around Hanging Dog Ranch since there is always many animals there. @calm chasm

- Pick the bounty hunter role first as it gives you gold pretty quickly
- Fish here and there usually on Flat Iron Lake as you can get about 20 bucks or so for every max load
- FINISH THE STORY MISSIONS they give you about $300 and a good amount of gold when they are done

You don’t need to be Level 5 Trader to unlock Moonshiner. You just need to have run a Trader delivery hosted by someone else and you can unlock the role for 5 gold, and then purchase the shack for 25

@subtle isle to do the low honor mission you must first complete any story mission marked on your map with the yellow icon then you will be able to play the low or high honor mission, I recommend you do the high honor before low honor because its easier to lose honor then getting it if you are just started, but if you have 3 goldbars to spend you can go to old man jones

@sacred hearth When it comes to shack locations it is best if you pick a region with flat ground as moonshine bottles break WAY to easily off road or if you hit a bump so I would say New Austin or Tall Trees and I know Tall Trees has decently good herb spawn for recipes.

Never Without One would be my first suggestion. It gives you a 10% damage reduction while wearing a hat, as well as a chance to deflect a headshot.
As for the 2 remaining passive cards, there’s a few to choose from that are relevant for PvP:
Winning Streak, Sharpshooter, Gunslinger Choice, Peak Condition and Iron Lung.
Personally I’d go with Iron Lung for the additional 10% damage reduction, and then the last card would be up to you.
Sharpshooter would be a great choice, necessary even if you use a sniper rifle.
Winning Streak is very powerful if you can land consecutive shots; easy to do since you are using PiB.

You won’t be super tanky, but so long as you use health cure to fortify you’ll be fine. It’s mainly the headshots that will be dangerous. Doesn’t matter how much damage reduction you have or the level of fortification you have, a headshot will still kill you. It’s why I suggest NWO, it’s not a guaranteed deflect, but it’s something.
Winning Streak definitely will help increase your damage potential.

Ever since the latest nvidia update the game causes either rapidly flickering black screen or hangs in black screen for like 5-10 seconds whenever I try to alt-tab or use anything that puts an overlay effect on the screen, Windows Volume display included, so whenever I turn the volume up or down, it goes to black screen. @wanton rapids Any horse is decent. The stat differences are negligible. Just get the **Nacogdoches **saddle with the top stirrup and you're set. Rest comes down to aesthetics. If you insist though, check out the role horses, they are usually well-rounded in terms of stats.

So long as you are using health tonics you can get some use out of it
You need to be shot 3 times to get it ramped up, and without a health tonic you’d be dead or near dead, so it’s useless then.
Personally for PiB I prefer Never Without One for the off chance it deflects a headshot.

then i started just to shoot the first few of the camp down and cycled around the camp
because mostly the bounty target escapes from me in the direction away from me
then i let the target run away a bit out of shooting range of camp and stay near him on and kill the ones that follow us
then i take him down with lasso
then i knock him unconcious - so he doesnt free himself out of lasso
ignore the camp and bring him to sherrif 🙂
when i the enemys that defend the bounty target take too much of my attention i often get him out of my eyes
others like to bola the target or lasso it
but that strategie didnt work so well for me - because as newbee i was to fragile for that to survive the cross fire

Just go in the menue, online, free roam - so you spawn near your current location in onother session where the hacker is not in.
Beware that your pelts and corpses you carry on your horse will disappear with this method.

-Do your treasure maps, those give a good chunk of gold.
-Bounty Hunter missions give gold as a reward upon completion. Longer amount of time you take, the more you earn.
-Stranger Missions can also net you gold, but not quite as much as Bounty Hunter will.
