This guide fixed 0x20010006 for me and my wife with the R* Launcher, no idea if the others fix the issue as well.

Login to your router.
Find your routers port forwarding section.
Put the IP address of your computer or gaming console in the applicable box in your router (or just select your PC/console if possible)

btw open task manager then go to details and find the rdr2 exe press open file location and find the exe again from the file explorer click properties and click disable fullscreen optimization or something like that

Here's the Fix that worked for me for getting 0X20010006 continuously:
Step 1: Go to your Device Manager
Step 2: Look for Network Adapters
Step 3: Find which network adapter is the one you're using to connect to the internet
(My network adapter was named Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. Might be different for you)
Step 4: Right-click, go to properties, then click on the Power Management Tab
Step 5: Untick "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" then apply and click OK

Greetings all.
So I'm having some trouble and was hoping to get some help. The controls are absolutely maddening. I don't know why but just getting Arthur to do what I want him to do is often an excercise in pure, unadulturated frustration accompanied by me screaming something like, "Why did you do that?" or "Why didn't you...?" at Arthur.
Are there ways to make the control setup less maddening? Cos I have lost count of how many times I'm just dumbfounded after somehow shooting someone I was trying to say hi to or or failing to shoot someone I mean to or... I just don't get it. Why are the controls so cumbersome and awkward?

not always. it appears random on pretty much any time a loading screen occurs. for example: I got kicked twice during the loading section of a cutscene during a mission online. When I am running around in gameplay everything is fine.

If you get an infinite loading screen when Changing Appearance every time.
Restart the application, - through the main menu join an Elimination series playlist.
As soon as you can, back out back to freeroam and go to Change character appearance, it should work, loading times could still be a big long though.

Hey,

I bought RDR2 few days ago after a few friends told me on Christmas they play it. I bought the special edition from a keyseller (I know, I know, they are the plague but I have to look at my money a bit after Christmas) and I'm like 99% sure when adding the key to Rockstar Games it said "Special Edition". (PC!)

But now I don't see any hints in that regards when playing online or offline. I bought the special edition so I would have a reasonably fast horse early on since I've read and heard (and now noticed) how the slower horses slow the crew down.

So how do I check which version rockstar thinks I have and how to get the horse? Thanks already!

@nova tide i find if you just keep trying to pitch your camp it will eventually stick. I also tend to load in to my camp to start, partially because i focus on the trader role, and the other reason being that it tends to guarantee your camp is set up.

Does anyone know how to help me with this? I have been playing Red Dead sense it came out on PC however its been having more and more issues as its progressed. To the point now I cannot even open the game. Ive tried deleting my settings folder which worked for a moment until i tried to adjust my settings back then it crashed. My screen is also having severe screen tear it flashes different colors and just all around bugs out. I have duel NVIDIA 1080s with up to date drivers. Ive tried restarting my pc, updating my BIOS and all the other stuff that support suggests you do but i just keep getting automated emails so i was wondering if anyone here was having a similar issue that could help?

Since the Moonshiner Update my game AUTOMATICALLY switches back to DirectX12, whatever i do or however i change the settings and restart the game, it ALWAYS switrches back to directx12.

even trying to make the settingsfile read only didnt worked...

directx12 is sooo awfull compared to vulcan, pls help

Easiest way to invite someone to your posse is to just set it to an open posse, let whoever you wanted to invite join, then set it back to closed. If any randoms join you can kick them.
