payout is lower if you repeat the same legendary bounty several times, and you also get less money if you deliver dead targets, or a target escapes. and you also get slightly increased payout the longer you spend on a mission. i suggest you dont focus on payout per bounty, but rather how much you can get over an hour @tropic belfry

@paper gulch Hey, one tip is to do the stranger missions and try waiting until the last 30 seconds (or even the last 5) to turn them in, you'll average 0.2-0.4 gold bars per run. I noticed the longer the timer the larger the possible reward

I recomend that you pick your system roles in #550659240633827329 then check out the #pc-lfg #640237366203908133 as well as #rdo-chat to find other online-players, get your advice there. Plenty helpful people around who can teach you the ropes and help you get started with red dead online.

There is mic issues with this game, windows says Red dead redemption is using my mic but the mic does not work, there is no indicator to tell me it is working. I have hyper-x usb headset, hardware switch on. I changed to a separate mic which seemed to work (gave me the on screen indicator) but then when i tried to talk to someone it stopped working (no on screen indicator). Mic works fine in other apps Discord ect. Online multiplayer games need a mic. please help or try to fix. ty

TL;DR / In short: It's a server related problem on Rockstar's end.

OR
The usual internet setup to create a solo GTA online lobby will cause it.

"The issue is not with your individual connection or the other 19 (or 5) connections of the people in the same "map area" as you, nor is it an issue with your individual "map area" itself, the prob is with rockstar's actual servers, so each physical server will host a cluster of say 1,000 people over 60 or 70 "map areas" if one of those physical servers is struggling due to capacity (or whatever) and you're hosted by that server, it doesn't matter what one of those "map areas" you're in or how many people are in your "map area" all 60 or 70 will be affected the same (or similar)"

I just bought an SSD M.2 and i want to know how i can make the game work on a new hard drive.

Rysix, you would have to reinstall both the launcher and game, from what you described it sounds like you just installed the launcher to the new drive and tre trying to make it find the game?

hard choice, personally I go for ardennes or hungarian halfbreed but it depend on your level and what you want more in a horse. My ardennes has the health but my hungarian has the speed.

@cold pebble When you're brought to the screen that has "The Outlaw Pass No. 2" and "Club Rewards" at the right, click the rewards and then look at the bottom pass items. Should give you the option to buy then at 40g

@sand crown Tip would be to check the map, sometimes paths are the safest way, but other times its better to take shortcuts. Your horse won't take any penalty, just be sure to avoid rocks. My horse usually falls over them. Jumping and swimming both use stamina quicker so careful where you cut through. Also, watch the compass map for any darker/thicker lines. idk if you've ever done os map reading but those are basically cliffs that'll kill you xD

yw, hope you enjoy your time with your horse (also good trick when your horse has a low stamina level, try using the calm button each time the stamina starts to drop. It has a cooldown time but it boosts them so they can go further)

Step 1: Go to your Device Manager
Step 2: Look for Network Adapters
Step 3: Find which network adapter is the one you're using to connect to the internet
(My network adapter was named Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. Might be different for you)
Step 4: Right-click, go to properties, then click on the Power Management Tab
Step 5: Untick "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" then apply and click OK

I was getting those types of errors all the time and this seemed to have fixed it.

Hey guys,
for some reason when I try to replay the moonshine missions from maggie, it only shows me "The Certainty of Death and Taxes".
Completed that one on standard, hard and ruthless.
However it does not show me any of the other missions to replay.
Anyone else has this issue, or maybe has an idea how to fix it? 🙂

@glad nebula Apparently, there's supposed to be a screen saying that yer account is linked, and people who has gotten the BH free paid 0 gold (in-game).

Others had contacted Rockstar Support and submitted a ticket, which had received 15 gold or had never replied the ticket but did the same as mentioned above and was apparently fixed for them

@turbid flare yes, that happens for me every single time when i try to join someone via social club. the only way around it seems to be to join their game from my own session and use the L multiplayer menu. its completely wonky but it is what it is

@viscid warren i think the moonshacks are bugged. for example, for me, talltrees very rarely let me go and sell the moonshine. it will reset the waiting period after 20 minutes. then i moved to heartlands and then i had the infinite loading screen. but then i moved to grizzlies and never had a problem since. maybe try to move the moonshack?

Been crash free for days playing rdo. But for some reason today it has crashed over and over...Allways when i exit a menu or map... 😦 the only difference today from the other days is i have upped the graphics slider slightly... Does it have something to do with a graphical setting maybe ? 😮

my setting is on prefer performance or what ever its called, slightly under medium setting. but i was noticing that the render distance for grass,fences and stuff like that was too low, as i could see them render in like 10 meters infront of me. so i tapped the slider up once. still on "performance" but now its rendering in so i dont see stuff just popping up infront of me. but now it keeps crashing all the time

With 39k you can buy everything you want without worrying about your dollars. For the new updates you mainly need gold though; 40 gold for outlaw pass #2 and 25 gold for becoming a moonshiner

I finish the whole thing in stealth and as soon as I get a certain distance away towards my shack (which instructs me to do), it auto quits and I have to wait before trying again. Ok guys, I need some troubleshooting assistance:

I have done like 12 consecutive bootleggers missions. Sometimes I'll come back to the shack and it will be $40 or even $30.

Then, I'll do another mission trying to get it lower, preferably $20 or $10...and it's back up to $50 again after doing 3 missions in a row...

I simply CAN NOT get the price of mash to go down with the bootleggers missions...

What am I doing wrong?

The moonshiners story missions are completed and I can produce average moonshine. Currently rank 10 but that is mostly from running the bootlegger missions since I've only been able to run two load of moonshine so far this entire time...

If I was bringing animals to Cripps and running trader deliveries instead, I would have at least $1,000 more than I have currently considering time invested...

This in addition to the loading screen bug has made my experience with moonshiner incredibly frustrating and unprofitable.

Also, when I do miraculously somehow get the mash down to $10 and start production, it glitches and production remains at zero and never changes. Both of my "free mash" tickets from outlaw pass were wasted because of this.

What am I doing wrong?

I do not know the answer for you Wylde. All I can say is that due to the bugs I’ve been leveling moonshine through bootleg missions until a patch. Kinda like you.

Ever since moonshiners patch I literally cant use free roam different zone while in game. It Always! ends up in a loading loop. longest I've waited was ~30 minutes. To use it I have to quit the game, and use it while in main menu before joining any free roam sessions.

In just last hour I tried to sell my trader goods, black loading screen... had to task manager it and reload, it now worked... but game crashed while I was shooting bandits at cargo destination... had to kill the game again... and do that same run... again, not bad I thought... and went down to sell my moonshine... no npcs spawned in my shack... had to run around it for a while trying 3 times to enter it before they showed up.... and yeah, got black screened twice in a row before it finally worked... props to R*... at least I haven't lost anything other than time.... seems like task manager is true MVP of this patch :V

@burnt harness I heard thats a usual bug for this role. Mostly u can fix it by standing still till the mission start, with ur horse some metres away. Its a bug that's been in the game for 4 months now. Absolutely unacceptable from Rockstar. But yea, I will let u know if I remember it^^

@robust trail I think I've found a work around for You. on Your outfit list, select the outfit by using arrows so that options on the right stay where they are, and then just click them with Your mouse. That worked for me without pressing the tab button.

when i finsihed the misison the one of the twins told me to go to my camp and maybe check his shop, then i was teleported to idk where and i had no markers on my map so i restarted the game

on relaunch i was in the horse shop and its telling me to buy the insurance
