@zealous grotto it's bugged sometimes. if you have the camp settled already, but it disappeared and cannot be settled again via menu, then the best way to solve this is keep joining new freeroam sessions until it shows up again.

hi, please let me know if this is the wrong channel, I just started playing online the other day, and it's my first red dead experience at all (never played the game campaign or anything). At some point last night, my starter rifle disappeared and now all I have is the handgun - anybody have any idea where it might have went? I'm 99% sure I didn't drop it or anything, we played some bow and arrow thing and I wonder if I lost it somehow in that. Now I'm stuck with just a revolver 😦

trader is so much easier then collector, collector makes money but you have to go around the map. When you like 4 people in your posse and you do a resupply, you will get 2000xp just by that (boom...one easy level)

so I'm getting the apparently infamous error code 0x20010006 after playing for around 5-10 minutes in online or as soon as i leave a poker game. Tried restarting the game, nothing, the launcher, nothing, my computer, nothing. Even tried that old trick in GTA where I go into my resource monitor and suspend rdr2.exe for around 7 seconds to force a solo public session but it still gives me the error, only then instantly after tabbing back into the game instead of it taking 5 minutes. any ways to try and do something about this because my only other option it seems is wait until they fix it themselves, only problem is that's apparently never going to happen because there's articles from 10+ months ago with the exact same issue, no way to solve it and people back then told them to wait so I ain't waitin' any longer. I've tried scouring google, reddit, twitter, youtube and whatever else for help with this and no luck, anybody know something I don't? PC btw

sorry i went to cook dinner, no its not i just get booted to the main menu, i did have a real bad freezing/crashing problem but turning my settings to medium instead of high and switching to vulkan mostly fixed that, few crashes here and there still but nothing to write home about

And whenever I try to change them back, the game minimizes, only there is no way for me to find it, there is no longer an icon. The launcher says it's running, if I am in game I can hear ambient noise, task manager says it's running. But there is literally no way for me to maximize it again. I have to shut it down and start over.

Quick question: My brother bought Red Dead 2 for PC from the website. He then loaded the launcher, logged in and it's asking him to buy the game again. I've been working with him over a facebook message about trying to figure it out. I've made sure he's logged into the right account, tried the R*/activate link on their site which only asks him to buy it or asks if he wants to use a rockstar code. Where would one find their original activation code? Or where would one find a rockstar code? This is weird

@sterile bolt did your brother buy the game from Rockstar while logged in? If he did, then the game should already be activated. Maybe he could check on the website after logging in and seeing if the game is tied to the account. He could also reach out to Rockstar support. If the game is showing as activated on the website then I'd clear the Rockstar cache and login again

If that doesn't work, contact R* Support chat and then do their troubleshooting. But logging out and logging in on the launcher worked (also ensure you're running as admin).

Hey, new to rdr2 so I may be doing something stupid, I have issues getting my horse, I can only use the scrawny nag. Now in order to use the other horse I need to equip the saddle, yet I cannot access the tack menu cause apparently my horse isnt active, but when I manage my horses the "make active" option is greyed out, any idea what I gotta do to fix this? Check the stables, you should be able to equip saddles there and put one on your horse even when inactive

And if you formed that, the mission thing can mean he is in a mission as well. I believe being anywhere near a random encounter also counts as a mission

Hi, my son bought the ultimate edition and started playing he messed up in the game and wants to reset his game to go back to the same starting point at the begining with all the perks of the Ultimate Edition perks , gold and money. Is there a way to do this, it is fully understandable that he will loose all his progress which is less than 10 now.

@knotty crane this is happening from time to time, you need to either change session or at times it works if you get a stranger mission even if it fails during the mission try setting your camp sometimes it works, at least with me it works. Hope this helps.

he should have some bonus outfits, a horse, a camp theme, some weapons (Volcanic Pistol, Pump Action Shotgun and Lancaster Varmint Rifle) and some rank bonuses

I am in a bit of a pickle and I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before. I have been banned from RDO. I have no idea why. They gave me no reason as to why but just that apparently no appeal to it exists. I am just confused. I have submitted a ticket and am waiting to hear back. But what I have read has left me feeling defeated. The computer is newish, and I have no 3rd party stuff that would do anything. In the email they say they deleted my character as well. I run around RPing and bounty hunting, I have never done anything to break their TOS.

Lot of people didn't get their Bounty Hunter license as part of the Twitch Prime, so had to buy it with gold, which they could then be reimbursed for.

That, and when I first started my persistent posse, it was glitched and I couldn't invite anyone or set it to open. So had to disband it and remake it.

Having the tent makes it so any time you rest in your tent you get a boost to regen. You don't HAVE to do it in the tent. But that being said I know the large tents allow you to rest on their beds.

@hybrid current look up for that colector logo / sign on the map, if you haven't visited Madam Nazar and her trailer it should be there. ...aaaand to become a collector, you would need that "collectors bag" it will cost you 15 gold bars, you would also need a shovel ($180) and later as you progress, you would need a metal detector (++$$)

yet just another weird thing that happened to me right now, i was playing one of those Gun for hire missions, i managed to kill 2 out of 7 targets, the remaining 5 never ever showed up on the radar or the map, there is no way i could have a clue where to look for them like at all.. i had to let the mission TIMER die and get the rewards for only 2 targets killed.. WTF?!

there is another major major in-game glitch-bug which makes your firearms wear out quick and day/night time shift fast.. it is because the game structure is related on FPS, and if you play the game on pc with HIGH fps all of those gets affected

Afaik same thing yet, people only using DX12 if Vulkan crashes for them. I believe that "issue fix" will be coming more from Nvidia than Rockstar themselves. (AMD gpus don't seem to be having Vulkan issues IIRC)

@wise rock PC? it crashes very often here too, even if Rockshitstar said they fixed most of crashes in the last update, it still keeps on freezing & crashing anyways . go to ..\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings\ and delete there everything EXCEPT "system.xml" file, restart the game . last time that helped me to load & resume the game without crashes

They say within 72 hours, most people I've heard said they got it around 2 days after linking twitch prime. Keep in mind you should have played the game atleast 30min and completed the tutorial but that most likely won't be the issue.

Probably some tank build, I combo slow and steady with never without one <- that helps a lot with the damage reduction and preventing me from getting one shot/quickly getting kill. I don’t think he’s modding if his health bar did drop

you block by standing still/moving towards the person throwing the attack and timing correctly by pressing R.. if you move away while pressing R you will sway, which makes the enemy swing-and-miss, causing a slightly increased counter strike opportunity for yourself.

as in the miss penalty is larger if you literally miss rather than get blocked

allright i think i understand your issue now, the beat prompt is there but it wont let you do it - against players. i dont actually know how this works, only my interpretation based on my experience..

the melee combat interactions are kind of different when fighting players than fighting npcs, because other players can interupt/defend your interactions which is most likely why you are failing to pull this off

ive also noticed that the power struggles, like defending or performing a choke is mostly dependant on who has the most stamina, not on how fast you spam the buttons

Don't see any friends list in rockstar launcher. Browser social club doesn't tells me if they're online, but not in-game or not. I think there's an ongoing bug where you do a Trader resupply mission and Cripps tells you to hunt a duck. All NPCs as well as animals becomes invisible except for horses and other players. I can see stall or shop npcs but apart from that they're invisible.

There are also certain spots where random encounters occur from which you get treasure maps. I always run past those spots whenever I'm close and have gotten a lot of maps that way

I bought RDR2 yesterday and after having downloading it I can not run the game. That makes me download the Rockstar Games Launcher Normally but after that, an error message appears saying : "Error. Impossible to run the game. Please check your games data". I tried everything that was written on the support but nothing changed.

the worst and the most frustrating role is probably the bounty hunter, it makes you do timed missions forcing you into immersion breaking idiotic and frustrating gameplay that makes you wear your weapons and you die a lot, and on the top of all the pay money is shit.. even for legendary bouties
