guys its not hard to level naturalist. you have to collect an easy category like the mountain or desert. mountain is worth more but both are rather easy. for mountain most of the animals are in West Elizabeth, except for timber wolfs which are in Ambarino
make sure not to donate the same sample twice if its already stamped
use the collector map and click on random encounter, that will open a second map useful to find these animals

It'll probably end up getting more expensive again so it's best to grind stranger missions and waiting out until like 30 seconds before the mission timer runs out. That'll give you the highest possible gold take. Furthermore, do all treasure maps you can find, make sure to loot all spawned enemies (no lawmen and such), they might have them as well. Lastly, start doing a streak, do dailies every day, the more you do, at a longer time span, the more you can get. @drifting turret
The highest you can go is 0.5 gold with each daily challenge completed after you've done this for 28 days, at least one daily of course.

Most new players get the Red Arabian as their first horse. Horses are so similar in performance though, so whatever you get can be a good horse; the saddle/stirrups make the biggest difference.
I ran around on a $50 Morgan and had pretty much the same experience as with my $950 horses. Find a horse you like the look of and give it a good saddle and stirrups and you’ll be set. Don’t stress the stats since they can all be reasoned away with.
Health: Useless in PvP since it’s such a large target, and headshots still always kill in one shot. Marginally useful in PvE.
Stamina: Made irrelevant because of stirrups and/or Nacogdoches saddle. You can pretty much have infinite stamina with them.
Speed/Accel: Ignorable as they make such an insignificant change they might as well not be a stat for horses. Speed difference between the slowest and fastest horse in the game across many speed tests all lie within seconds of each other, or even less on shorter distances.

@idle lark Role outfits can give you the eyewear and hat included. Non-role outfits will give you all pieces available individually. Many of the non-role outfits have exclusive cosmetics that can only be purchased through the outfit, such as black tuxedo pants
I'd need to cross reference it all, but some outfits definitely have worthwhile cosmetics. Hettinger is probably the best bet though as it has a very nice Paisley vest, black tuxedo pants and shoes, and it's one of the cheaper outfits. Grizzlies Outlaw also gives you cosmetics from story mode. Montana coat, Legion vest (not the opulent vest recolor, this one is slimmer), plated boots, grizzlies hat, and deschutes scarf, all unavailable for individual purchase
Mercer gives you a Bison Duster which costs gold when bought individually, but the outfit does not cost gold, and gives exclusive colored hat, coat, and pants
and if you are a fan of red/black, the dechaux has a lot of red/black exclusives. Shotgun coat in red/black plaid, red stripe opulent vest, bright red riding gloves, red/black preachers boots, actual gold colored puff tie, and red/black short stovepipe top hat
it's like 19 gold, but personally i enjoy the red opulent vest and stovepipe hat enough to have justified the purchase
the gold puff tie from the outfit actually goes well with the black/gold brimmed gatlinburg hat from the moonshiner role outfit

Etta Doyle is factually the best grinding bounty
among the highest payout (Tobin Winfield, Red Ben and Etta Doyle), really low risk (as Ronin said a glitch allows you to be completely pacifist until the small journey from the freight yard to the police station) and Red Ben is not affected by the multiple targets multiplier because he is a legendary bounty
if multiple targets increased the payout Red Ben would take on the title as best grinding bounty
he requires 3, himself included
but since he isnt and his mission cannot be pacifist/is really difficult then no this is not the best
will admit Red Ben is most fun tho if you know what you're doing and can avoid the BS
there is a set strategy that I use that fails 90% of the time, the other 10% being due to my error or unfortunate circumstances

@atomic vault I'd start by doing the story missions. After those I'd do the Daily Challenges and Stranger missions to get some Gold. The Gold you get will go towards Roles, in which I'd recommend getting Bounty Hunter first since it's the only Role that give you Gold.
And after you get Bounty Hunter just do Dailies, Bounty Hunt until you can get another roles.
