main investments when youre starting out are gonna be your main and secondary pistol, $150 towards your ability cards, $250 for red arabian... horse insurance, uhhhhh you got some other non-essential essentials to take care of when starting out

hmm but regarding hunting without a wagon, I like to put a camp in a place like great plains, or heartlands, so you have vast open lands around your camp, and deer, pronghorn etc everywhere. with a sniper rifle you can almost hunt from the comfort of your own camp, get a head or neckshot on a 3 star animal, and go pick it up.

great plains is also great because there's a few cougar spawns there, a 3 star cougar gets you a lot of mats

Yeah, sometimes, rarely, you can find them.

You will recognize them.

#

They have almost the same saddle as the collector saddle.

#

Stuffed with shovels, pans, bags, etc.

And if you kill them, they give you one or two collector's items I think.

Don't take my word for this but I think you can do freeroam legendary animal straight away once you got the role, it just that a lot harder, because in rank 5 you get legendary eagle eye to tell difference of the trails, and at level 15 which increase your chance of spotting a legendary animal

if a player in the lobby has a bounty around 20 dollars in online then you can go and capture them. Though it is very very uncommon to have a player in the lobby with a high bounty like that @hot zealot

Naturalist will definitely help with the trader, because legendary animals gives a lot when you donating them to crisp, in the other hand moonshiner gives a lot of really good content and really fun to do too, like bar fight

Majority of people say that naturalist role is pretty lame and that once you max it out you wouldn't need to do anymore naturalist related things except the legendary animals

do a few things

kill the horsemen until none spawn
kill the enemies that arent the bounties and then hogtie for each target, do that by jumping over the carriage and shooting the ones there or using a sniper rifle with caution
keep the train running until you're left of tumbleweed (the map's left) then get the 3 bounties in the wagon
theres a shortcut you can do right about here to get straight to tumbleweed as opposed to riding all the way around and risking an unexpected death by going up a small path but destroy your wagon and you'll cry

Treasure maps is a main income that I have, get them from looting body’s and sometimes in the mail. Also save up to get 15 gold so you can do bounty hunting which pays out well. Depending on what map you get it is a different pay, I did one map today and got 1 gold bar and 97 dollars @marsh dirge

The thing with bounty hunting in depends on if you get a regular bounty or legendary bounty, legendarys pay a lot more. And bounty boards are everywhere so you can do them back to back @marsh dirge

You can find them with some of the people on the white dots if you have ever encountered them, also sometimes you get mailed them. You can also loot dead body’s and they might have them!

Dynamite arrows are absolutely worth it, toxic moonshine is only worth it to clear out pesky Moonshiner dailies

Dynamite arrows allow you to fight back from a range with an AOE. Can use them to counter griefers as well, kill them and their horse. Can wipe most hideouts fairly easily with a single well-placed arrow and a couple shots from your revolvers. The overarching reason being that it's just a more fun way to kill stuff as well. Toxic moonshine isnt good as a combat item
