I heard the payment increases every 3min spent on mission, so not necessarily the 30s mark. I haven't, however, verified this myself, boring to stand around doing nothing, which breaks the whole purpose of having fun

It's rockstar's cash cow, it's older, so received more content, gigantic source of profit, both from game copies and microtransactions since the economy is fairly inflated, more mainstream than Red Dead, so GTA will always get more attention. In any case rdr2 will probably go through the same cycles of player base volume with how recently an update comes out. GTA Online itself was barebones back in '13

It doesn’t make sense for R* to crank out content for rdo because it just doesn’t make all that much money

They got lucky with GTA and took advantage of what they had

I don’t think they’ll reproduce that balance of player satisfaction and corporate profit with RDO

The fact that Red Dead has always been a great single-player series also doesn’t help the case for online to be developed

I never understood the point of GTA Online. There are tons of exploiters, griefers, and not much incentive for actually playing the game as an open world sandbox. They really should have made it more as an open world side game for solo/small group play, and removed the toxic buggy way it's setup now. Anyways, the single player is fine, which I would hope is why people bought it.

Idk, i enjoy the slow play of RDO/RDR 2. I get on GTAO and i feel like i'm constantly running for my life. I think the simple life of RDO appeals to me and I hope we one day get a homestead to farm and take care of. I kinda like the idea of just getting on something and biding my time to do it. And its "me" not Arthur, or John, but my character. Thats the real appeal as well.

Yeah, there's a lot of potential in something like that. A lot of games have attempted it. Fallout 4, especially modded, ARK, Conan: Exiles (?), morrowind/skyrim (a bit), and so forth, but they never really seem to fully click. There was one post I read in the Hunter: Call of the Wild forum on steam where someone said they enjoyed the hunting aspect of RDR2O so much they bought a hunting simulator because that's mostly all they did in RDR2O, lol. I guess though, some day a game will come along that will have it all, and we'll still not be quite happy enough, but that's what pushes innovation 🙂

I’m trying to get Pearson to request the navy compass. I got it, but I can’t get him to ask for it. I played poker with him for a while and he never asked. Do I have to be back in chapter 2 for him to ask for it?

I tried doing a number of honour stranger missions and they got messed up and the character I helped ran away from me and reported me for a crime when I had done nothing but help them. One guy was surrounded by wolves. I shot them all and he didn’t even thank me.

@cloud nova look at collectors bag it tells you the amount of money it gives. I think most jewelry needs a metal detector along with coins. If I had to guess I’d say arrowheads if you have a shovel
