@marsh dirge It doesn’t. Repeaters and Rifles (not snipers) can press whatever button expands the map (for controllers it is down on the D-Pad) while aiming to switch from reticle aim to scope, and vice versa.

A sniper would make it easier to get one shot kills on non-headshots, or from far away due to damage falloff, but isn’t necessary for anything that requires Rifles to kill them since even a Bolt or Springfield can one shot them in the head.
