Outside of the benefits in PvP, Bolas are best used when chasing a target on horseback. You don’t need to get as close and it immediately incapacitates them. They are given back to you if you tie them up before they break out and are retrievable if you miss so technically they are infinite use.
On foot you can just shoot them in the leg to trip them, as obviously a gun has farther reach than the bola.

Yep, completely retrievable. If they break out of it before you tie them up you’ll lose it. But realistically that’ll only happen if you take your sweet time getting to them, pick a flower on the way or something. Or if you throw it at them and decide to kill off all their guards first before going to them. But yeah, it’s a handy tool just not something to throw around willy-nilly.

currently i have dual lemat revolvers, lancaster repeater, and pump action shotgun

Navy Revolvers have become a fast favorite. They are incredibly accurate, hard hitting and have a good rate of fire.
You should consider picking up a Bolt Action Rifle. Necessary for effective hunting, and is a great weapon in its own right. It and the Lancaster are the most popular weapons for a reason. Good damage, range and rate of fire.
You already have the statistically best shotgun.
Last would be a Sniper. Rolling Block is powerful and slow, it reaches 1 shot kill potential in PvP without needing more than one ability card to get there. But is poorly suited for PvE.
Carcano is fast firing, much faster than the RBlock, but won’t get any one shot kills to the body without investing multiple damage cards to its use.

Collector tasks you with exploring the map and picking up specific items. Such as flowers, family heirlooms, jewelry, bird eggs and more.
There are sets of items, with each type of item having a certain amount of unique items within them. You need at least 1 of each unique item to make a set which you can sell back to Madam Nazar for a large sum of money and XP. You can also sell the items individually to her for a much smaller reward, but it’s not advised.
There are “cycles” that change which items are found in the map at a given time. Collector was reworked a bit some time ago so I can’t give much information as to how it really works, but I’m sure someone around here knows more about the cycles.
I believe there is the jeanropke map somewhere in this server but I haven’t explored it enough to know for sure where.
This map shows you exactly where to go for each item in the cycle.
Basically you are using that map, and going from item to item— like a checklist, point A to point B throughout the map picking up each item. This is the most effective way of using Collector.
