When I came back there were 2 herds of 4 or 5 deer each around my camp

If you can get close enough to a herd of 3 or 4 deer you can take em all in one hit using PIB without the scope on the bolt action rifle Just got to be quick and careful enough to just mark their heads so as not to lose stars on them.

MAkes life easy but not always practical.

You could try to kick start him by ordering/buying the first supply batch. You also need animals/materials donated before he can start. If you buy the supplies you get a small amount of materials as well I noticed.

Yeah to set a waypoint move the cross with the WSAD keys to where you want it (where you want to go to) then put your curser inside the cross and press enter. then when you are already riding on the path press and hold V until it's fully in cinematic mode. Sry if I'm telling what you already know.

I use them they work for me, I put them about 50 meters out from camp where I see deer and then wait in camp, go into rest mode for 30 secs or a minute or read the catalogue, then there is usually some there or around somewhere, they don't always spawn at teh bait they can be anywhere in the area. after I get one I take it to Cripps and usually by then there is more there. sometimes it's a real easy fill up.

Does Moonshining have a local/long distance difference like trading, or as I increase load size, will it automatically move the more profitable deliveries further?

I think it's just more profit with the stronger shine.

Some do, but hand in the whole animal if you can.

I hand in everything when hunting is tough, turkeys, geese, ducks, squirrels, even chipmunks and possums.

Butcher takes whole animals too, and fish, A hunting wagon with 5 muskies or northern pike, lake sturgeon pays ok. If you like fishing.

I take the one star animals and skin them for the meat, hand in the skins to Cripps even though the skins don't count for much at one star, teh meat pays when it stacks up.

Well if you can loot weapons then put the ones your carrying on your horse then pick up the looted one. I think that should work for long arms anyway.

I've never had weapons drop for me online from NPCs, so it's a new situation to see.

Hennigans Stead shack is in an awkward spot to get to.
