I like the LeMat. I have liked that gun ever since I saw it in Red Dead Redemption 1. for PVE I'll use the Evans Repeater and either a Bow, a pump action shotgun, or the Carcano depending on what I'm doing. Sometimes I break out dual Mausers instead of the LeMat cause its funny to unload 20 rounds in a moment in an old west setting. Not very efficient but it makes me feel good.

Navy is a better revolver if you only count the revolver bit. faster fire rate, more damage, more accuracy. However it is only 6 shots and doesn't have the LeMat shotgun or as I call it, the "F U" setting.

Special tonics (lvl 3 tonics) are better than Potent tonics (lvl 2 tonics), but the lvl 3 tonics are to be used in 1v1s or when desperate times call for desperate measures.
For the sake of convenience and keeping the tedious crafting to a minimum, it's recommended to stick with Potent tonics 9 and a half times out of 10.
