#1: Black Arabians (high stats overall)

#2: Missouri Fox Trotters / Level 20 Criollos (they're both the same; high top speed and high stamina)

Decent start, considering your level. I'd recommend - for that time in between starter horses and Turks, Arabians, etc - get a Thoroughbred and a mid range saddle.

Try and grind showdowns once a week for an entire day, bounties and eventually get trader, then you'll be set for XP.
