For all the people who have problems pitching their camp, try my "workaround". I have a 100% success rate with this. Maybe it helps some of you:
Open camp menu through left dpad, not the wheel. And then let break hell loose with that X/A button. Just press it again and again. Within 20 tries the camp spawns for me. Always. It isn't a nice elegant solution, but it is one.
After the camp spawned once it will work as intended in this session. In case Cripps packs it up unasked, just repeat.
Like I said, at least it works for me.
