This has been a thing for me since I started (after getting 1st saddle)

I've only been playing online for about a month

I've tried different stables, horses, lobbies/sessions, reloading, holding down x when selecting.... Nothing. The description at the stable says ".... or buy a new saddle" but no option exists in that menu

Typically I wind up fighting a posse that refuses to give up for an hour or more. Killing any number of them in a town is easy, but out in the wild where horses are near vital to survival, they can easily shoot yours out and swarm you before you find cover.

I try to guide the fights towards areas with a lot of cover, and after that it becomes a matter of attrition. No real scoreboard, so you gotta make them ragequit or accept a feud. Sticking near a post office is important too.

If you run outa your primary ammo or can't get a chance to pick up more chewing tobaccy your fucked

To stay up on everyone throughout a lot of posse fights I have to stay in a near constant state of Deadeye by flicking Slippery in and off, or hang in defensive mode.

Here's a few dirty tricks to turn the tide.

Chewing tobacco? I can destroy people without dead eye already if I used it, it'd probably be worse

Whoever walks out of a shop and loses their ghost form may be shot before they can draw by someone already outside. Going into shops to hide isn't wise.

Parlaying with intrusive randos that you're already up on can save you trouble when you need to focus on a posse.

Shoot their horses whenever possible to buy time to pick them off, or you risk a merciless ganking. If you wanna pick a fight in defensive mode with no repercussions, ram your horse into theirs.

You can shoo other people's horses away. Useful in some situations, but mostly just fun.

Inevitably some guy uses slippery too and will try to tackle you so others can help him gank...
