Pretty sure deadeye drained per painted shot is the only difference
Combined with E4E I’m basically always at a full meter because I only paint 1 shot (if I fuck up maybe 2) but because that shot is usually a headshot I get more dead eye back than it drained.

There’s been a few times I’ve snuck up on people and have had my receptacle directly on the middle of their head and when I shoot them it only takes like 1/4 of their health
Does the type of gun matter? Do you have to aim slightly above/below the head? Does it only work with deadeye? I don’t understand why me shooting people in the head doesn’t count as a headshot.....

Why do the emotes look different when you buy them compared to when you use them?

Bloom is when you lock on to a target you see a circle on your reticle that shrinks over time and grows again after a shot. Only when the circle has fully shrunk to the point your reticle is just a small dot (like it was in old dead eye) your shot will land where you aim it guaranteed.
If you fire prematurely the shot can basically land anywhere in the bloom area (circle that shrinks)
That’s why you have to pace your shots a certain way depending on the gun used
(If accuracy is priority)

Shotguns are kinda whatever you prefer because a body shot is usually enough to kill
they said they nerfed varmint rifle but i still got raped by a griefer using one
It’s still a really good gun considering value for money
They even buffed body shot damage on it xD but yeah the range and accuracy took a hit
Doesn’t mean you can’t still be good with it
But you’d def be better with a Lancaster imo

Depends. But generally doing Stranger Missions down to their last second is regarded as the best, consistent, 'normal', non-PvP method.
Showdowns are really profitable if you consistently place first.
There is currently a carcass duping glitch circling right now, so technically, that makes the most money, depending on your efficiency.

Kind of, certain mounts are level locked but cost money and as in rd1 they was free after unlocking

All the mounts have pre determined stats for health and stamina. I mean, they can be slightly buffed, with upgraded stirrups, for example. Otherwise, you can raise your ‘bond’ with the horse to make it spook less often but that’s it
So, a level 100 can’t just hop on any old horse and see it’s performance improved
You gotta invest in them
