springfield is a really nice hunting weapon for bigger animals that woon't die right away from a headshot.
the varmint rifle nerf hurts lower level players more than anything IMO
they cant afford the constant dead eye, so high level players can still slice through non deadeye players with it

In Online, Varmint should not be able to target players. It's meant for small game and should remain that way so long as RDO is an aim assist game. If it was free aim like most PVP shooters, then sure, allow it. But with aim assist on and being essentially training wheels pvp game, the varmint rifle needs to be reserved solely for its original intent. Small game.

Obviously some folks are better than others, but it's very simplistic functionality compared to any game with free aim. I've only played RDO's match rounds a few times. Most of my Online is Free Roam, Stranger quests, battling off people trying to stop me from delivering mail or trying to destroy my wagons, or me and my gang doing the same to them. If you're going to attempt to argue that the aim assist PVP is more difficult to master than free aim PVP, I don
t think you'll find many that support that view
To more accurately address your question, everyone has the same handicap, but it is a much easier form of PVP than free aim, of which there is little dispute.
