@dense hollow Ah this was out near a train station near emerald ranch, and also while doing a caravan protection mission. Posse members just held it near the yellow zone to draw people in and I’d find those who came around would be in that blurry state while standing. They’d move then go back to it.
Is there any purpose to holding out on a caravan to the last second or is it purely to grief those who quick joined the posse or whatever? Sometimes nobody is interested in taking the bait so it seems like a waste in time unless it guarantees points...

I just traveled from Tumbleweed to Strawberry on horseback because Blackwater is crawling with people, thinking maybe it was just bugged there, with a perfect rabbit pelt, a perfect raccoon pelt, a cardinal carcass, a perfect skunk pelt, eagle talons, cougar fangs, two perfect iguana skins, feathers, a perfect golden eagle carcass, a good cougar carcass and pelt, pronghorn pelts, deer pelts, pig pelts, and a perfect black tailed jackrabbit carcass and I can’t sell any of it due to it
But no, it’s not just the tumbleweed vendors, it’s all of them

I didn’t notice anything was weird until I went to sell everything
I lost a ton of pelts off the back of my horse but going up on a building and jumping off to kill myself fixed the problem

I’ve gotten that feeling a lot with the online game disconnecting me. It’s certainly frustrating. You need to be able to save what’s on your horse. A couple times I accidentally sent my horse away and the respawned horse comes back without any pelts on it. Such a waste of time! ☹️

It is really frustrating. I wish you could save what’s on your horse, or at least save it at your camp yknow? Got $50 with what was left but it could’ve been so much more. It was fun getting everything but ultimately had such little payoff compared to the effort.

Even in my example, there was no reason those pelts should’ve been lost. No one killed me, my horse didn’t spook, and I didn’t recall him. The rabbit, eagle, and cougar dropped and I picked them up, and that was it
Hopefully it’s a change R* might make some day because as it is it’s something else to manage, unless you go somewhere more secluded as far as players go, like tumbleweed
