Character creation is highly dependent on your ability to make the character look natural. A lot of people want their character to have extremely defining features, etc. but the more normal you look, the better you are off. Use your opacity sliders, tune the skin complexion, etc.

If you purchased upgrades on the weapon, the greyed parts are the stats that were increased upon applying them I believe @sand apex

Theres several types you can buy and some are unlocked later on.
Usually the best would be Express.
The full bar could likely only be met by explosive ammo but that's not something you have to go for.
