If you have that enabled you should set Vsync ON and let the feature handle that for you. Idk what is your Freesync range though, for your monitor. You only need to keep it on that range to have butter smooth framerate

Also, as a last-verylast suggestion, if you are feeling adventurous and know what overclocking does, I would suggest at least getting MSI AfterBurner and unlock voltage control for your GTX 970. As a previous owner of one myself, I know it can get around 10-15%+ clocks easy. But if you never did or doesn't want to risk anything just forget about it.

@rocky nexus I know most people are completely no-no about it, but IMO it worked great in the past: try to use a lower resolution scale until to the point you're comfortable with. In my experience, with a 1070, I was with 0.8 res scale IIRC with overall high/ultra settings at 1440p having 60fps and I could barely see any difference. But it's really a personal taste. Only try it out later to see if you like it.

if someone is unable to keep a consistent frame rate, it's best to use something like nvidia inspector to custom lock the FPS to whatever lowest FPS you get is

Being a new PC player here, I saw the Black Arabian stats and was quite surprised and excited, so I purchased it. I already kinda felt the speed thing, watching other friends ride with me at generally the same speed but I must have got lucky with the horse, mine is pretty fearless and cruises past most things without an issue. He only freaks out and bucks me off once a cougar gets close. All else he couldn't give a shit. Haha.

it took around 30-40 pages until we started to fix it (each with a very specific solution, eh)
And now out of nothing it shows up again, errr
also, no more straight 60fps, something in this update took away some frames, that because I actually lowered some settings

You must have a good CPU, only 35% usage. GPU must be pretty beefy too. Mine is running at 99% for GPU and 80% CPU.
