I like the change because open combat actually requires skill now XD
Like... it gets boring just parrying and killing every single enemy instantly and having combat based completely off of timing.
The newer combat systems in origins and odyssey also have parrying and counter elements, but they also have more attack variation for both the main character and the enemies, and you canโt just instantly kill them in the middle of combat (because thatโs easy)

They would have a over year to bring the game to the market. But then again, maybe they want to give RDR 2 more time to maximise profitability and hold other games back for a couple of years. Plus, GTA 5 still good profitability wise so, what the point of hyping up a new game and ending the hype surrounding current games?
