@hybrid shadow that's a similar strategy to what I used... group them up to maximize your merge+1 benefits, then when you run out of space, merge a few higher groups to make more space.

Added hint, only save odd numbered items and you can make even more use out of your merge+1.

Tip time. I raised concerns months ago that my offline earnings aren't anywhere near 100% of my online earnings. Others didnt have the same problem, but if you are having the same problem as me, here's the tip. If you go into board 1 before closing your game, you will earn full income from board 3 while you are offline. The difference is about 4x for me so it makes a huge difference.

@velvet harness There is only one use for fortune: when you are working between Shop 2 and Shop 3, there is a point when you will have a half forge full of 81’s in your Shop 2, and likely won’t have enough fully upgraded Profit runes for all your 81 rune slots. At that point: it’s better to have two profits and 1 fortune on anything with three runes, and save the extra Profit rune you’d have used on another free 81.

The other use for fortune is at the end of forge 3, when you have multiple 81s and are just building up gold. If you dont have enough gold profit runes to fill the slots on your level 81 items, it makes more sense to have an item with 2 profit and 1 fortune than it does to have any level 81 item with just fortune runes. The reason is the way the multipliers stack and it only works for items with 3 rune slots. For me it meant having most of my level 81s with 2 profit and 1 fortune for a while.

Anyone having success with offline merging on iOS? Mine has been completely borked since the update in June. It'll work for <5 minutes if I switch apps and don't close completely, but if I leave the app switched and unchecked for more than 5 minutes, it relaunches the app when I return and there is zero offline merging. If I close the app completely, it's even worse and there is zero merging when I return.

@dusty rain The power-up for x2 Merge is the strongest option when prepared for in advance. I only store odd-numbered equipment, aiming to have at least 8 pieces of equipment ranked 10 higher than my starting spawn rate before activating a x2 Merge.

@dusty rain Also: it may be obvious, but the option to increase spawn speed gets better and better the more you put into evolving it.

Yeah, that's about where you can consider it beat. I'm still pushing the limits of the game to see how far it will go. I'm at 1.5 B soul gems and it's gotten hard to even add 50 percent each round. Even 10 B seems likely to be impossible.

Finally in the endgame of Shop 3 with 9 81’s forged! (I couldn’t have made it without liberal purchases from the gem vault, so there’s an asterisk by the victory). It feels so relaxing now. It takes about two days to forge a new 81. If I reset my progress, I couldn’t recreate this board without buying more gems or putting in an obscene amount of time, so it looks like I’m almost ready to put the game aside. For such a relatively simple game, it’s been a ride 🙂

@raven nimbus they tweeked some back end items that made it slightly better for early progression but late game is still very slow

Can anyone explain the latest update (June 10th). It’s labeled as “makes progression easier”. Can anyone elaborate on that? I’m currently #58 of the last board (armory) and I’m unsure if update will actually help or make it more difficult
