Ive had that "ads wont load" thing before too. Pretty sure its just an issue with your internet connection not being stable enough to connect to the ad servers.
Game probably only tries to establish a connection at launch, which is why restarting would fix it

If I understand everything properly, and it's possible I do not...It's not 5x your current income. It's an additional 5x modifier to your base income. With very simple numbers, assume you are making 1,000 total. This is at 1x. You buy your first 5x, and it jumps to 5,000 total. Now assume you buy a second 5x. It's not 5x your current (which would be 25k) it's 5x in addition to your 5x, or more accurately, 10x your current base (bringing your base 1k, and recently 5x modified 5k up to your new 10x total of 10k).

If you click the 3rd icon at bottom and then the chest at bottom that pops up it will show how many of your daily 30 you have collected.

Those 30 are added to your spendable gems (what show up in the shop window)

The number in your vault is overflow of your 30 daily

You can watch a video to earn 10 of those in the vault
