It is a great start though. I found the best way to get going is to get some soul gems, which gives you a multiplier, buy a 5x upgrade with gems and some runes. This means you have the different multipliers all multiplying each other, which adds up to huge boosts

No it's fine, because that gave you runes. Saving up for a 5x multiplier is best now, as well as resetting when you can get 25 soul gems
