Question about the Income Multiplier:
I got the x2 first, saved up and got a x5 and it said that I had x10. Saved up and got another x5 and it only gave me x15. At first it seems like it’s multiplicative and suddenly it’s additive? Bug?

Every time you restart you earn money quicker, based on how many soul gems you have, but you still have to start from 0 and get to level 25 again. You'll do it quicker though, and be able to carry on further.

Someone needs to point out to me a mathmatical difference in the game in correlation to the soul gems because I have reset twice, first time for 35, second time for 400, and I can't tell a difference

Like in any game with a reset system that builds up based on progression, the moment you reset you start flying through the early game. This is not the case with this game

<@&384453120635437059> I just wanna offer some constructive criticism for this game, because I do believe it has the potential to be a really cool idle/periodic checking mobile game. I also don't want to act like I am a superior developer or anything, because I'm not. I just play a lot of games is all.

Most games that have a system in which you are able to reset in exchange for some speed increase in the early game, have a pretty major exponential difficulty curve. That is to say, as you go further on, upgrades or necessary purchases become ridiculously expensive and realistically unobtainable in normal gameplay. So in that case you get as far as you can, and then reset. In turn for resetting, you are able to fly though the early game in a comparatively tiny amount of time, working your way back up to the position you were in a surpassing that position until you have to reset again.

Blacksmith has a difficulty curve that resembles a linear equation. Regardless whether a player is at weapon 5, or weapon 50, the time it takes to progress seems to be about the same. And because of that, resetting is counter productive because it will always take the player longer to get back to where they were. A +1% increase in income per soul gem is not enough to justify someone resetting their progress.

You can completely disregard what I'm saying but I think the game would be genuinely more engaging if someone had to actually plan around a reset.

I will say that you have incorporated the second tier currency very well. It doesn't just seem like a cash grab. I feel like it is realistically obtainable and the rearwards that can be purchased using it are genuinely worth the players time to invest in. Even if that means watching a few ads

I will always discourage someone spending money on a free game and because of that I completely ignore that it exists. Spending money on a mobile game is idiotic but hey if you can make money off of little kids then go ahead.

But the fact that you can take only X amount of the chest every X amount of minutes is good because it does actually engage someone and keep them coming back for a long period of time. Giving someone 100 gems at once will never engage the. You have to tease them in a way

I also appreciate that there is an specific upgrade that can directly increase the amount of gems you get. Its not locked behind a micro transaction

There isn't an exponential increase in how much time you would have to put into the game in order to get results. Because of how little of a bonus gems give you, resetting your progress means it will actually take longer to progress than without the gems

Ok let me model you a situation

Game A: You make 5 bucks an hour. Upgrade 1 costs 5 bucks, Upgrade 2 costs 11 bucks, and upgrade 3 costs 17 bucks. Resetting gives you a plus 1 dollar per hour. This is an extremely simple version of Blacksmith

Game B: you make 5 dollars an hour. Upgrade 1 costs 5 bucks. Upgrade 2 costs 25 bucks. Upgrade 3 costs 125 bucks. Resetting multiplies the amount of money you make by 3.

With game A, the increase in upgrades over time is not enough for me to justify resetting my game, and going all the way back to the start so that I can get future upgrades faster. Because by the time I make it back to that point, I could have already progressed through half the game if I hadnt reset.

With Game B, I have to reset, or else the game isn't going to go anywhere. It's a feature that the player has to stratagize around. And because of how the difficulty curve is shaped, and how your ability to progress changes, a player isn't going to be stuck in the early game for a large amount of time, and it makes logical sense to reset at certain times

Again...disagree. The extra gold boost at 100 gems cuts the time in half needed. At your level and higher those times to upgrade forge level is significantly more.

Also when I first started I kept getting the power up of weapon forge lvl 3 so then it would make three higher than the one I had which also speeds up soul gems

I think it’s just completely random what bonuses you get but I’d be getting best bonuses So I think in reality that could’ve definitely helped me get more gems

oh I love alien movies I like horror action adventure sci-fi Martial arts pretty much every type of movie out there but I most likely like horror
