Hi everyone, I do not know if this will be answered since it is not MCAT related, but is it okay to get letters of recommendation from two science professors who teach in the same discipline. The usual guidelines are two science and one nonscience professor, so I assumed the two science should be from two separate disciplines (i.e. chem and bio). However, I feel like I could get much stronger and personal recommendations from two professors, one in organic chemistry that I had and one in general chemistry that I had. Does this look bad to get two science letters of rec from the same science discipline (chemistry).

You should be fine! Try to also get a physicians letter of recommendation! In effect, it’s like having an unofficial admission committee member on your team! I also recommend you reach out to an additional professor as a back up, in case one of your professors drags their feet or something comes up.
