If they remove the AFK voice channel, people who are actually AFK will just stay in a voice channel, which has even more issues imo

After a certain amount of inactivity in a voice channel you’ll automatically be moved to the sleeping channel
I don’t think it’s that much of an issue since there aren’t perms to speak in that channel

Can you even disable the embedded text channels in vc channels? Only sort of way I can see that working is removing perms to send messages in them
Yeah, looking through settings on another server, it seems you can disable the send permission, but there is no setting to either disallow veiwing of the channel, or disable it as a whole, and I think that you can still use the chat of a channel, even if you can't connect to it as long as you can see it
