it really shouldn't. The BIOS USB port should not behave any differently than a normal one almost all the time (apart from also supporting BIOS flashback and updates)

That’s a normal usb except when you hit bios flashback or use usb from bios to install bios
That is not the problem
Your windows drive having low storage does not help and can be the cause
Ohh they switched. Boot load the correct drive from bios screen via boot priority
Then reassign letters and check priority
