#PC not turning on after 2 weeks without power

Here is the situation (with a bit of preamble):

We moved into a new place about a month ago, but I hadn’t set up my PC right away as I needed to sort some things out first. During that time, my PC wasn’t plugged in for about a week. When I finally tried to power it on, it wouldn’t start.

At first, I thought something had become unseated during the move, so after pressing the motherboard’s CMOS-reset button (still no POST), I:

  • Checked all visible power and data cables
  • Reseated the GPU and RAM
  • Removed the CMOS battery while I was at it (it sits behind the GPU), then reinstalled it after a while
  • Replugged every easily reachable connector

After all that, the PC sprang to life again--but who knows what did it.

Which brings us to now. I’ve been abroad for two weeks and am facing the same issue. This time, though, nothing except an unplugged power cable happened--no move, no shaking--yet the PC still refuses to start. Here is what I’m seeing:

  • No fans spinning or front-panel LEDs: The case’s power-button light and the motherboard’s debug display remain dark
  • One green motherboard LED lit next to the debug display
  • Two LED indicators on the GPU lit next to its power connector
  • Motherboard power/start button: Its built-in LED glows, yet pushing it does nothing

To make matters worse, I’ve sprained my fingers at the airport and can’t risk repeatedly fiddling inside the case.

Can anyone help me diagnose what’s wrong so I can start with the most likely-to-work fix?

Where was the pc stored? Inside?

Was it humid inside?
