It worked perfectly great when it was plugged into my old pc...i downgraded to a gaming laptop and when i plug it in and talk into it the quality just sounds bad people say.

Check for drivers or sound recording settings in Windows make sure isn't coming up as a headset or recording at lower fidelity, is USB connected right?
Also can use audacity to record some samples and/or check input setting options in there might help narrow it down or at least self testing
