I bought the ASUS NUC 14 Performance (Ultra 9 185H - 4070) Barebones kit about 2 weeks ago. Running relatively smoothly* until yesterday where I noticed some short but frequent system wide interrupts, each lasting 700ms to 2000ms. In task manager I could see the cpu graph spike from average of ~25-30% up to 60%ish, in time with these interrupts. This happens more frequently when the pc is under load, such as playing/streaming video (both uploading and downloading), and playing both offline and online games. I noticed one of the performance cores just barely thermal throttling, and so tuned the fan curves in bios to be more aggressive and now they all sit in a comfortable temp range. I was still encountering the issue after this, so I completed a fresh install of windows about 15 hours ago, same issue. Updated bios from 0039 to 0045, after which I encountered an issue with one of my ram sticks being faulty, so I opened the system, and reseated both, found that it wouldn't post with the faulty one inserted at all. I ran memtest86 on the other with no errors. Asus tech support is getting back to me in a couple days but I honestly don't have that much hope for anything useful from there...
Drivers are all up to date according to the driver package supplied for this product on the ASUS site
Windows is up to date
Nvidia Drivers are up to date
*I have had several possibly unrelated instances where all usb devices 'reset' as if they were all unplugged and replugged at the same time. Ive triple checked the drivers and as far as i can tell the correct up to date ones are installed, still not 100% sure what causes it as it seems to happen at random times.
There is an extra USB Controller that does not relate to any external usb devices i have plugged in under Other devices in device manager, which i cannot install drivers for. I am assuming this is a nuc 14 performance related issue as there is very little specific info regarding it.
