I brought it to Best Buy and the Geek Squad dude said that there appears to be an issue with the cards temperature regulation, as it uncontrollably climbs even with the fans at full power. WHAT DO I DO. I didn't know how bad the GPU market currently was so this is like a nightmare, I want to know if it's worth trying to fix or if I should just go and spend EVERYTHING I HAVE for a new GPU.

@neat topaz It would happen all the time, but it definitely becamea LOT worse when doing high load work. I ended up getting a RTX 5070 as a replacement card (also had to get a new case to fit it)
the problem is completely gone now
I did a lot of troubleshooting; trying different monitors / hdmi and display port cables. I took my PC apart and deep cleaned it, removing all dust.
but the problem did not go away
A friend let me borrow his GPU and the issue went away
which was a pretty clear indiciation that this was strictly a GPU issue
