What makes you think that’s a cpu issue

sterile folio
#

I dont truly think its a CPU issue but my one friend wont stop shoving it down my throat

#

and my wife...... -_- i would love to prove them wrong

#

thats why im here!

marsh narwhal
#

So what all have you tried?

sterile folio
#

Plugging directly into the wall for direct power. Fresh install windows. Uninstall icue. Took it to a tech who under volted the CPU and looked at it and did some cinebench testing but he said it never happened to him when he was testing it which doesn't make sense to me unless he never tried turning on anything other than cinebench because I also never had cinebench crash.

#

Not too much more than that because I don't wanna mess anything up.

#

Before I waste my time even letting microcenter look at it I would like to know what to even tell them what the hell is wrong since the other tech couldn't replicate my issue

marsh narwhal
#

Has this always been an issue

sterile folio
#

Yes.

#

Brand new build

marsh narwhal
#

Seems like maybe a monitor/display cable issue

#

Have you tried both the 2060 and the igpu on the 7800x3d?

sterile folio
#

Idk how a cable would cause a program to force shut down + cause my pc internal RGBs to reset.

And idk what igpu is but I'm pulling up to my house I'll Google it. The 2060 super is the only OG part from my old build I brought over

marsh narwhal
#

Gpu integrated on the cpu

#

You have 7200MT/s ram. Is it running at that speed?

sterile folio
#

hmm wouldnt know about that. is there a good program to check for RAM speed. i have ryzen master and Afterburner but that i dont think shows ram

marsh narwhal
#

Task manager should show it

#

Under the ram performance tab

sterile folio
#

ill get it hooked up in a few minutes in to my kitchen tv so I can bounce back and forth.

sterile folio
#

ok PC is on.

#

running at 4800 apparently

#

and i was wrong, they are 6000

VENGEANCE® RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 DRAM 6000MT/s CL40 Memory Kit

#

Just turned on XMP

#

6000 speeds now

#

Monitor just did the flash again. CPU shows this

sterile folio
#

trying out Igpu now

sterile folio
#

it took a lot longer but it DID do it on the intergrated graphics. I was finally thinking it was the 2060 super that was messed up

#

happened while opening a new google chrome tab
