#What cpu should I get?

So right now I have a i5 12600k and a 9070xt on the way and the reason I can upgrade for pretty much nothing is I already have the ddr5 ram I will most likely get the mobo and new cooler as a gift so then I will get a used 7700x sell my mobo,cpu,ram,and cooler and have enough to get 1 a 9800x3d,2 get a 9900x,and 3 7950x I do gaming and video editing and I can't figure out what to get ik the 9900x and 7950x are much better for those core intense task but it's it worth the gaming performance loss over a 9800x3d?

And the reason I don't just stay on lga 1700 and just upgrade to ddr5 is upgrade path for the future

Well another problem is my ddr4 ram I cannot for the life of me get it's faster then 2887mhz when it goes up to 3600mhz and I already have a ddr5 6000mhz laying around

The ddr5 was a gift I got from a family member and it's just sitting there staring at me 🤣

I have a good seller review on ebay and have sold cpus and gpus before

It would cost almost nothing after I sold the old parts

And I do video editing so the new cpu wouldn't be 100% unless

I probably wouldn't get a 9800x3d because I can get a 9900x for $100 less with a 10fps diff and 12 cores

Actually the 9900x has better 1% lows then the 9800x3d

Yeah intel had no problems when I bought the 12600k oh how times have changed

So far the 12600k hits about 50c with 100% utilization on a stress test but yeah I should it's a time bomb

I bought it second hand but no way that should void a warranty no wonder intel losses billions of dollars lol

There chips have become to productivity focused for a big market share

Because most people just want to game and amd chips have a much better architecture for that

And they give us something intel doesn't L3 cache

Even the non x3d chips have alot of L3 cache

Right the 14700k it's like the 285k in gaming I think

But it was a limited edition

Then I got the 3090

Because the a750 wasn't enough for 1440p

I loved the a750

#

But it is a little bit of a gimmick

Hopefully next gen arc has some mid range performance

Won't be to hard to catch up considering the performance of the 5070

If I did upgrade to am5 what would you recommend between the 2
A new 9900x for under $400
Or a used 7950x for the same price

I do gaming,streaming,and video editing but I edit at 1440p or lower

I actually do have some cpu limitations I'm some games

It only utilizes like 55% of gpu so I only get about 40 to 50 fps with fsr

#

Recommended cpus for that game are like 13700k/9800x3d/13900k/9950x
