Hey guys, I had to debug a PC that wasn't working (it is working now though), and I had no idea what EZ Debug lights were, so I went to the manual to see which header was the buzzer header and plugged one of my spare buzzers... Howerver, I didn't get any beeps.

After reading the manual a little more I discovered my motherboard supplies error signals via LEDs. Is it possible that the motherboard only supports debug lights and that it will never send any beeps to the buzzer even though it has a buzzer header?

Just wondering if maybe my buzzer is broken, or if I didn't something else incorrectly. What is the point of the header if not to send BIOS error codes?

Btw, the motherboard is a MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS, and it shows the buzzer header on page 32 of the manual: https://download-2.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/MPGZ490GAMINGPLUS.pdf

I did google before:
https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threads/no-post-beep.265556/#:~:text=the speaker is not totally disabled they just removed the single beep for successful post%2Fpower-up only and it will only make beeps for actual errors that happen!
Here it is said that the single beep for successful post has been removed, but at the time when I was debugging the PC, there were error singled by the LEDs... So maybe even those got removed

Pretty useless I guess. I am gonna confirm this later by plugging the speaker back on and trying to manually make it beep via software ¯_(ツ)_/¯
