So i am trying to build out my office/gaming room. I have a desk, with a 1080p60hz monitor, and a 4k60 monitor next to it.
I also have a 4k tv on the wall directly behind it, the goal, is to be able to sorta mirror the screen to the TV whenever people are in the room, or hook up an 2nd laptop or something so 2 people can play. One at the computer, one on the couch behind me.
The I have a sonos beam gen 2 (with minisub and surrounds) setup as a 5.1 surround system, currently it's connected by hdmi to the 4k tv.
So the way I see it I have 3 options, I can either build out 2 computers, I can try to get the first computer to mirror to the TV (maybe surround sound streaming issues to tackle if I go that route.)
I can build 1 computer, and a streaming box like an nvidia shield pro
Or I can build 1 computer, and try to mirror the screen again (no hdr this way, and cec/sound issues to tackle)
My current PC is a ryzen 5800x3d 32GB 3600 ram and a 3090FE on a b550m
So now that we got all that out of the way...
What should I build? If I go 2 pc I don't hate the idea of building in a corsair d4000.
Main PC needs to be able to play VR, and 4k60fps stuff on high settings
Secondary PC basically just needs to be able to play simpler party games, and also be able to steamlink/moonlight stream from another PC. Something low power preferably like an igpu. Alternatively I might put bazzite/steamOS on the secondary.
Let's goooo time to pick hardware, should I go amd or intel? Should I wait til the new intels?
Hopefully I can get my pc back online, but issues point to mobo/ram/gpu so if I can't figure which it is, il probably just upgrade the whole machine, if I can confirm the bad part, I'll try replacing that
