Need some assistance:
I have 2 100TB Raids saturated with 4 24TB drives each. RAID 5, total capacity of 72TB.
Production has asked for a 3rd RAID.
They want to have the 3rd RAID be a RAID 0 configuration with 2 drives, pulling from the other RAIDs.
Is it safer to:
Wipe 1 of the 100TB RAIDs, extract 2 Drives, then copy the info over from the 1 intact Master.
Or
Pull 1 Drive from each of the 100TB RAIDs and put those into the nee enclosure?
