So I recently installed a new motherboard, an ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E Gaming Wifi II, and I had heard that disabling C-States can help with performance by preventing throttling. However, when navigating the BIOS to see where to disable C-States, I noticed that it was stuck as enabled. I was able to disable the Enhanced C-States, but the base C-States cannot be disabled through the BIOS. Is there any other way I can go about this such as doing it outside of the BIOS or reverting to an older version of the ASUS BIOS, or should I return the board in favor of one whose BIOS supports disabling C-States? If so, what option should I go for?
